Games to Watch: Week 10 & 11

Week 10
Maryville @ Alcoa: " The Battle of Pistol Creek" is one of the most iconic rivalries not only in this state, but in the entire country. These 2 storied programs have combined for 38 state championships and 1500 and coaching legends on each side. This will be their 95th meeting

Brentwood Academy @ Lipscomb Academy: Might be the most anticipated match-up in Division II. This game will have no shortage of players that you'll see suiting up for Power 5 programs, BA being led by QB George MacIntyre and Lipscomb by LB Edwin Spillman.

Milan @ Peabody: One of the oldest rivalries in the state going back over 100 years, this game is now a region game. This will be the 103rd meeting bewteen these 2 programs

Bradley Central @ Cleveland: Another contest of county rivals with alot of history, this game has elite skill players all over the field. This game will look like Arena football with the amount of points scored.

Centennial @ Page: IMO, this game will be the deciding factor in who wins the Region 6-5A championship.  Would also allow the winner to avoid Nolensville until the quarterfinals.

Oakland @ Ravenwood: Ravenwood was one of the few 6A programs that challenged Oakland and this time they'll get to host the defending 6A champions.

Week 11
Ravenwood @ Brentwood: " The Battle of The Woods" is pretty young compared to other rivalries around the state but no less heated.  This meeting will likely be for the Region 7-6A championship.

Brentwood Academy @ MBA: This rivalry is less than 30 years old, but it has produced from classic games, some on the biggest stage possible. Legends on both sides have been made in this game

Science Hill @ Dobyns-Bennett: This rivalry games dates back to 1921 and will be meeting for the 102nd time this fall. Most years this meeting is the defacto championship for Region 1-6A and could be the case this year as well.

Clay County @ Gordonsville: These 2 programs have played almost every year since 1951. This match-up also features the best teams in Region 4-1A and poses the biggest threats to South Pittsburg for a trip to the BCB.

Powell @ Knoxville West: Two of the best in Class 5A will square off to decide the Region 2-5A Champion. These 2 teams account for the last 2 state titles in Class 5A.

Hendersonville @ Henry Co.: Beech and Henry County get alot of the attention in Region 7-5A, but Hendersonville should be in the conversation as well. A win by the Commandos puts them in position to host a playoff game.

Riverdale @ Oakland: "The Battle of The Boro" might have the 2 best teams in Class 6A. This is a rivalry game that dates back to 1974. This game will determine the Region 3-6A champion
